Is this tour for you?
Trekking to find the gorillas can be a challenging and long hike.
You will spend only one hour with the gorillas.
You’ll most likely travel on a join-in basis, which means you may or may not be joined by others for trekking, activities and transportation, depending on demand.
level of difficulty:
Gorilla trekking takes place at altitudes 1160 to 2607m (3806 to 8553ft) above sea level. This means that moderate/average physical fitness is required. You’ll need to be fit enough to trek to the location of your family of mountain gorillas. This may involve up to 5 hours of walking up and down hills, in hot and humid conditions and through tropical (and at times thick) foliage. There may be mud underfoot which will make the trekking slippery
The slowest member will determine the groups’ speed. The pace will be moderate, with plenty stops to rest, ask questions, re-hydrate and enjoy the forest and views.
Accommodation: Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged for extra cost
